Taal Volcano Relief Efforts

Taal Volcano Relief Efforts

On January 12, Taal Volcano began a slow eruption in the Philippines. Many of ACTION's members, ministries, and partner churches are in this vicinity and quickly found themselves under layers of ash. Families living nearest the volcano were forced to leave their homes, as their houses and towns were deemed uninhabitable due to the severe ash pollution and the potential danger of a possibly larger and more violent eruption.

Less than a week later, more than 50,000 are in evacuation shelters, with more still expected to arrive. Face masks, necessary for lung protection; bed mats and blankets; and clean drinking water are in short supply. Can you help meet these urgent needs? Give today!
