Theological Famine Relief in Zambia

Theological Famine Relief in Zambia

Eric Forman, an elder at Evangelical Free Church of Mt. Morris in Illinois, is no stranger to Africa. He and his family previously lived in Zaire. At the request of ACTION missionary Tracy Singleton, Eric’s former senior pastor, Eric returned to the continent to teach at ACTION Pastors’ College (APC) in Zambia and wrote the following:

Though I was only able to spend two weeks at APC, it was a time filled with both ministry and blessing. The people of Zambia are truly wonderful. I spent the majority of my time teaching pastors and church leaders on the canonicity and authority of Scripture. I was also able to help put on two inductive Bible study methods seminars for about 80 people.

In a country where there is a hunger for spiritual things but confusion as to proper biblical interpretation, this material will make a difference in how pastors and church leaders handle the Word of God.

Please pray for the men of APC as they continue to make significant financial sacrifices by attending the college. Though APC does not charge them anything, the time they dedicate to attending classes and studying limits their ability to earn a living. All this is done in a country with a difficult economic climate. The pastors make this sacrifice so they can be better prepared to lead their churches. They are truly men of faith. The ministry of APC is alive and well and more urgently needed than ever.

-Tracy and Karen Singleton reside in the Unites States now but are continuing their ministry with the ACTION Pastor's College through multiple short-term trips each year.
