Update from Tim and Lindsey Bayne
Tim and Lindsey Bayne, along with their 2 children, live in a rural community in Brazil just outside of the city of Fortaleza. They have 3 areas of focus to their ministry:
1. Discipleship at the Davis Lar Children’s Home, where they build relationships with children that were victims of sex or drug trafficking through teaching skills like English and farming.
2. Church plant leadership in the local church plant. They work directly with the local pastor and ,at this time, their focus is building a strong small groups and mentoring ministry. They also organize and support community outreach events with the church. Their goal is to raise up and train a strong leadership team and see people maturing in their faith in Christ as well as new believers joining the body of Christ. Majority of people in the community practice spiritism and other false religions where “good works” is the way to salvation.
3. Coordinating international interns and groups to come and serve locally with the Baynes or getting the international interns set up to serve with other ACTION Brazil missionaries, according to their calling and skill sets.
