Caleb & Megan Silva-Schilling
In September 1993, Megan’s story began in Bogotá, Colombia, where she was adopted at three months old into a Christian home. From an early age, she knew the love of Christ—and at sixteen, during her first short-term missions trip to Jamaica, God planted a deep and lasting passion for the nations in her heart.
After graduating from cosmetology school and working full-time as a beautician, Megan sensed the Lord stirring her toward something more. Through prayer and wise counsel, she was introduced to Action International Ministries (ACTION) in 2015. Following a season of discipleship training with Youth With A Mission—where the Lord clearly called her to full-time ministry—God led her back to her birth country of Colombia. There, she served the urban poor for over two years, discipling youth and young adults and watching the Lord ignite faith in the next generation.
In 2022, Megan moved to Lisbon, Portugal, continuing her work of partnering with local churches to equip young people to share the Gospel—across the street and around the world.
It was during this season that she met Caleb while serving at a youth retreat. Caleb grew up in South Africa before moving to Portugal at age seven. Raised in a family that loved and served the local church, he developed a heart for discipling young people and, in 2022, sensed a clear call to invest intentionally in the next generation.
Megan and Caleb were married in 2023, and Caleb joined ACTION as a field worker in 2024. Since then, they have served side by side in Lisbon, discipling youth and young adults, strengthening local churches, and training emerging leaders to be bold witnesses for Christ.
In 2026, the Lord expanded their calling as they stepped into a new role on ACTION’s Member Care Team, with a special focus on serving and discipling missionary kids (MKs). As they complete their certification in biblical counseling, they are preparing to care for field worker families around the world—walking alongside MKs with compassion, cultural understanding, and the hope of the Gospel.
Megan and Caleb are passionate about seeing field workers thrive and the next generation stand firm in their faith. They are grateful for the partnership of churches, friends, and family who invest in this ministry, and they invite you to join them in strengthening those who are serving on the front lines around the world.
