Ministry Focus: Mentoring Pastors and Leaders.
Ministry Area: Matamoros, Mexico area and Latin America.
Ministry Background and Overview: Patrick was called to be a career missionary to Latin America and served non-stop with that call since 1989, but lost his late-wife to cancer in 2021. Shalyn lost her husband to cancer in 2020, and sensed a call and desire to serve as a missionary.
Together, Patrick and Shalyn now live and serve along the Mexico-Texas border pouring their lives into others. In terms of output and outcomes, the O’Connor’s OUTPUT is to pour their hearts, souls, and lives into others, with the desired OUTCOME as the Lord’s fruit into THEIR lives. Fruit is seen through new expressions of evangelism, discipleship and healthy new churches.
What drives the O’Connor’s? Why such enthusiasm for the border?

Relations: Relations with the Lord, each other and with the host audience.

Communications: Relations are dynamic and cross-cultural communication with persons of peace, disciples and pastors along the border is of utmost importance for long term effect.

Aspects of Life: Pouring one’s heart and lives into others in Mexico and in strategic locations in Latin America requires heart and body energy, yet with the Lord’s burden and vision to stay strong in the Lord and the power of His might.
