Austria

Austria has become a place of refuge for people fleeing war, persecution, and displacement from across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Through the Oasis ministry and local church partnerships, ACTION workers are welcoming refugees with practical care, hospitality, and the hope of the Gospel. Located just minutes from Austria’s largest refugee camp, the Oasis serves men, women, and children through clothing distribution, German classes, Bible studies, discipleship groups, women’s and children’s programs, leadership training, hospitality ministries, and Gospel outreach events such as Jesus Film nights. Many who come through the doors are from Muslim backgrounds and are hearing the message of Christ clearly for the very first time.

For decades, faithful workers have served together in Austria with a heart to meet both physical and spiritual needs while helping refugees rebuild stability, dignity, and hope. Their ministries are shaped by compassion, long-term relationships, and deep involvement in the local Austrian church. Some serve through teaching, discipleship, and leadership development, while others focus on refugee care, women’s ministry, hospitality, creative outreach, and children’s programs. Together, they desire to reflect the love of Christ to those who have experienced upheaval and loss, inviting people from many nations to encounter the hope, truth, and welcome found in Him.
