In September of 1993, Megan was adopted from Bogotá, Colombia. At three months old, she was adopted into a Christian home and had the privilege of growing up knowing Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. At sixteen years old, the passion and a heart for missions was planted when she went on her first short-term global missions trip to Jamaica with her church. She later went on to graduate from cosmetology school and pursued a career of being a full time beautician. Not feeling fulfilled by her efforts to work really hard in the cosmetology industry, she decided to explore and pray about the idea of pursuing missions.

In September of 2015, Megan was introduced to Action International Ministries (ACTION) through her pastor at her home church as well as Jeff and Mary Ann Anderson, who had been full time missionaries in ACTION Philippines for more than 30 years. Through prayer and counsel, she felt that God was telling her to wait and pursue a five month Discipleship Training School through Youth With A Mission before she pursued ACTION further. While doing outreach in Thailand, she heard the Lord clearly tell her that He was calling her to full time missions through ACTION and that the next country He wanted her to pursue was her home country: Bogotá, Colombia. She served the urban poor in Colombia for over two years and her passion to minister to and disciple youth and young adults have significantly grown.

The Lord has laid it on her heart to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and assist others (especially this next generation) to do the same. She will be continuing as a full-time missionary in Lisbon, Portugal. There she will be partnering with local churches to reach the youth and young adults in the community, so that they may be trained and equipped to share the Gospel across the street and around the world.
