Our mission is to live out the Gospel & share the Good News until all have heard. In September 2023, we became missionaries with Action International Ministries to Puerto Lempira, Honduras.
La Casa del Camino is the home that we had the opportunity of visiting in February of 2022. Mike and Lisa opened their home to us just as they have done for so many others.
Mike & Lisa host boys who are or will attend school at Instituto Vida Abundante (IVA – Life Abundant). La Moskitia is an extremely impoverished area that has limited and, in most areas, no opportunity for education. IVA is a Christian school that opened its doors in 2014 and provides the only free education beyond the sixth grade in all of La Moskitia. The opportunity for kids to earn an education (and to hear the Gospel) is the key to keeping them away from the the illegal activities of drug trafficking that are so prevalent in the area. La Casa del Camino was born out of the need for housing for young boys who want to be discipled in the love of Christ while getting an education.
We will be working alongside Mike and Lisa learning the ropes of operating a home. Our mission is to live out the Gospel; provide a space for God’s children to feel the love of Jesus; and create an environment for people to open up and share their stories, hopes, and fears, and where we can open up to share the same things, including our faith in Jesus.
