Restoring Dignity – Hope for the Widows of Remote Nepal

In the remote and mountainous regions of Nepal, many widows live in deep hardship—emotionally, socially, and economically. Often forgotten and marginalized, they carry not only the pain of loss, but also rejection from society.

Our mission is to respond to this need by bringing both the hope of the Gospel and practical care, reflecting the love of Christ in real and tangible ways.

Rita’s Story – A Voice for Many

Rita, a widow from a remote village, lost her husband unexpectedly. Instead of receiving comfort, she faced rejection. Cultural beliefs in her community label widows as “bad luck,” causing people to avoid and exclude her.

Today, Rita lives with deep loneliness, emotional pain, and daily struggles to survive. Her story is not unique—it represents thousands of widows across Nepal who remain unseen and unheard.

The Urgent Need

Widows in the Himalayan regions often face:

• Social isolation – exclusion from community and religious life
• Emotional suffering – grief combined with rejection
• Economic hardship – loss of income and financial insecurity
• Lack of care – little support during sickness or crisis

Despite these challenges, many widows remain overlooked and without support.

Our Response: Widow Care Ministry

We are prayerfully launching a ministry to reach widows in remote areas with compassion, dignity, and the love of Christ.

Through this ministry, we will:

• Organize prayer fellowships and encouragement gatherings
• Share biblical hope and spiritual care
• Provide food support and basic care packages
• Support the children of widows with educational needs
• Offer training for small, sustainable income opportunities
• Help communities restore dignity and value to widows
