Brazil: Conexáo Alegria

Start a Campaign

Conexáo Alegria means “Fun Connection” in Portuguese.  It is run by ACTION workers Luciano and Sandra Collares, together with their two children Tabitha and Italo and a number of committed volunteers.

The Conexáo Alegria team shares the gospel in public schools in the Fortaleza area, Ceara, in the hot, Northeastern region of Brazil, using music and drama. They also run evangelism camps, evangelism outreaches in slum communities, training in churches, and an online children’s ministry. Luciano is the chaplain at a local orphanage, and also the pastor of a small church. They often have young men living in their home with them as they disciple them in the difficult transition between life in an orphanage and alone in the real world.

Their vibrant ministry reaches thousands of teens and children with the gospel every year.  Luciano is the composer and has a lot of evangelical children’s songs recorded. You can find his music channel on YouTube

The team at Conexáo Alegria would love to have short term workers visit their work and creatively contribute to the team.
