Since 1974, ACTION Philippines missionaries have been ministering among the poor in and around Metro Manila. Today, ACTION’s team in the Philippines is composed of more than 40 foreign missionaries from 10 different countries partnering with more than 30 local ministry workers and numerous Filipino volunteers. From our Metro Manila roots, ACTION’s team has branched out to needy communities in Antipolo City, Silang Cavite, Cebu City, Olongapo City, Malaybalay, and Iloilo.

Ministries of ACTION Philippines include:

  • Ministry to Children-in-Crisis
Support A Child Save A Future is a ministry targeting the street children of Metro Manila and other key cities nationwide. We reach children through hands-on ministry and by networking with churches around the country. The ministries of Street Impact Team (SITeam) include feeding programs, tutoring out of school youth, and street outreaches. Dave & Becky Majam lead the ministry and are assisted by Al & Sonie Tadeo.

HONEST HANDS' primary focus is discipling former street boys and school dropouts. Each student is taught the Bible with an emphasis on character development and practical Christian living. The program is led by Greg & Sarah Seiling.

BRAND NEW DAY (BND) is a ministry to children-in-crisis in and around Silang, Cavite. Besides providing residential care, BND operates a drop-in center for street kids and offers tutoring to out of school youth. The ministry is co-led by Erin Johnson and Krista Laroza. Matt & Becki Beack also work with children at Brand New Day.

PEACE PEACE CENTER is a ministry the Lord led Catie Smith to begin. PEACE PEACE ministers in a resettlement community in Iloilo, where they partner with a local church in ministry focused on needy children and community development.

LIFEHOUSE VILLAGE provides residential care and educational sponsorship to children from dysfunctional families. The ministry is guided by Ron Homenuke. LifeHouse Village is also establishing a farm designed to provide practical experience for students and to help sustain the ministry long term.

Raffy & Susan Sison founded KIDS’ HOME in Antipolo City to provide care for former street boys. KIDS’ Home also ministers to the neighboring community through conducting an alternative learning program, regular medical outreach, and weekly church services.

Andy & Doreen Zuberbuehler are seconded from Globe Mission in Germany to ACTION Philippines. They have started a ministry called TIMOTHY PROJECT which partners with a local Church in Malaybaly, Mindanao to promote foster care for needy children. They’ve also launched a residential care home for orphaned children in the area called Lighthouse Home for Kids.

  • Medical Ministry to the Poor
SHALOM CHRISTIAN BAHAY PA-ANAKAN’s vision is to share the message of new birth in Christ with the poor. Along with this, we strive to make quality maternity care available to those with minimal finances. Shalom midwives have the privilege of welcoming to life around 30 babies every month. Missionary Doctora Ces Estera leads the ministry of Shalom.
  • Vocational Discipleship Ministry
ACTION’s Second Mile ministry campus in Cavite offers vocational training and discipleship for young people. WORKING HANDS equips young men with vocational skills in wood technology, welding, and computer programming.  But more importantly, the program strives to produce young men who will think biblically and be ready to serve in their local churches. Greg & Sarah Seiling provide leadership for Working Hands.

Shelley Conradson works with CREATOR’S CRITTERS in Cebu City. Her ministry provides discipleship and vocational training in scuba instruction to former street kids.
  • Ministry to Church Leaders

ACTION helps supply teachers and staff to FAITH ACADEMY, a school long committed to educating the children of missionaries. ACTION missionary, Erica Fritz, teaches high school math at Faith Academy. Tom Potter and Doreen Zuberbuehler serve on the Faith Academy Board of Trustees.
